BBQ Baked Beans

  • 4 cans (15 ounces each) of original baked beans (2 cans drained)
  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped and cooked
  • 3/4 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce (Woo Pig BBQ Sweet and Sassy BBQ Sauce coming soon)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 tablespoons Woo Pig BBQ She Calls Me Honey

  1. Preheat your oven or smoker to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a frying pan, cook up chopped bacon and onion together until bacon is cooked but not crispy and onions are translucent.
  3. In a baking dish, combine the beans, crumbled bacon and onion.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and Woo Pig BBQ She Calls Me Honey.

  5. Pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the beans and stir until everything is well coated.

  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven or smoker for 45 minutes.

  7. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the beans are bubbling and the top is caramelized.

  8. Let the baked beans rest for a few minutes before serving.
